Programme National de Lutte Contre l'Ulcère de Buruli (PNLUB)-Côte d'Ivoire
The National Buruli Ulcer Control Program (PNLUB) was created by Order No. 256/CAB/MSHP of September 10, 2007. Its mission is to contribute to reducing morbidity linked to Buruli ulcer and these consequences. The PNLUB is under the supervision of the General Directorate of Health (DGS) to which it reports on the implementation of activities. The PNLUB coordinates the fight against Buruli ulcer and yaws, which is implemented by the decentralised units that are the health districts. As part of the fight against these diseases, the PNLUB calls on technical and financial support from partners including the WHO, the Raoul Follereau Foundation and the ANESVAD Foundation.
Ghana Health Service
The Ghana Health Service (GHS) is a Public Service body with a mandate to provide and manage comprehensive and accessible health service with special emphasis on primary health care at regional, district and sub-district levels in accordance with approved national policies. Its’ vision is to ensure all communities have access to timely, quality and comprehensive health care.
Kumasi Centre for Collaborative Research in Tropical Medicine (KCCR),Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST)
offers an international platform for biomedical research by scientists of diverse backgrounds. KCCR’s modus operandi is based on the close collaboration between KNUST School of Medical Sciences (SMS), Ghana, and the Bernhard-Nocht Institute for Tropical Medicine (BNITM), Hamburg, Germany. KCCR aims to act as an international platform for biomedical research, based on close collaborations with scientists from national and international institutions. Our objective is to bring both the scientists and their ideas in this network and platform to conduct research in tropical diseases.
Programme National des Maladies Tropicales Negligées (PNMTN)-Togo
It was created under the Directorate for the Fight against Disease Control and Public Health Programs by Ministerial Law No. 197/2018/MSPS/CAB/SG of November 20, 2018. It takes into account the following diseases: soil-transmitted helminthiasis, schistosomiasis, onchocerciasis, trachoma, dracunculiasis, human African trypanosomiasis, lymphatic filariasis, leprosy, Yaws, Buruli ulcer and envenomation. The mission of the PNMTN is to coordinate efforts and actions to control, eliminate and eradicate neglected tropical diseases (NTDs).
DAHW Deutsche Lepra-und Tuberkulosehilfe e. V.
is a relief organisation. The focus of our activities is the person who is excluded from society because of his or her illness and who has no access to adequate health care. Leprosy is and remains our central field of activity. But if other diseases in our countries of operation prove to be in urgent need of treatment, we also devote ourselves to their treatment and holistic control on the basis of inclusive approaches. In addition to leprosy and tuberculosis, we are currently also active against Buruli Ulcer, Chagas’ disease, Yaws, Lymphatic Filariasis, Schistosomiasis and other Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs). We are also increasingly active in the field of humanitarian aid.
Fundación Anesvad
We fight against Neglected Tropical Diseases, those that nobody sees. We have spent over 50 years working to guarantee access to health for people who live in the world’s most impoverished communities. We work strengthening public health systems, supporting research, working with strategic alliances and undertaking work to drive projects forward. We work with health ministries, civil society, international and national foundations, networks, research centres, universities… because universal health is a right, not a privilege.
Universidad de Zaragoza (UNIZAR)
Founded in 1542, the University of Zaragoza is one of the oldest and largest public universities in Spain, with more than 33,000 students and >2.500 R&D staff distributed among 202 research groups. There are 17 Faculties offering Degree, Master and PhD programs on Sciences, Business, Law, Humanities and Languages, Medicine, Sport, Veterinary, Engineering, Education, Tourism, Nursing and Physiotherapy and Social Studies. UNIZAR has campuses in Zaragoza, Huesca and Teruel, within the region of Aragón (Spain). UNIZAR has a European Projects Office to assist researchers during preparation and management of international grant applications.
Fundación Agencia Aragonesa para la Investigación y el Desarrollo (ARAID)
ARAID Foundation is a regional Agency for Research and Development. ARAID supports R&D activities by attracting and financing the contracts of experienced researchers to any public and private research centre located in the region of Aragon in Spain. The University of Zaragoza, has a longstanding institutional collaborative frame agreement with ARAID acting as Host to several ARAID researchers. ARAID also supports the development of new projects and research areas thanks to collaborative agreements.
Instituto de Salud Carlos III (ISCIII)
is a national and international reference in biomedical research and public health. It depends on the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, but is also aligned with the Ministry of Health, Consumption and Social Welfare. It offers scientific and health technical services and has training programs in public health, health management and scientific management.

Tres Cantos Open Lab Foundation (TCOLF)
The Tres Cantos Open Lab Foundation (TCOLF), created in 2010, allows independent researchers to access GSK R&D facilities, resources and expertise to help them advance their own research focused on medicines for endemic infectious diseases. The Foundation is overseen by a Governing Board of leading scientists and provides funding and support to researchers to help them develop and advance ideas that could lead to new medicines to treat endemic infectious diseases.
Cures Within Reach (CWR)
Cures Within Reach leverages the speed, safety and cost-effectiveness of repurposing, testing approved therapies for unsolved diseases: driving more treatments to more patients more quickly. We find and fund proof-of-concept clinical trials of drugs, diagnostics, devices and nutraceuticals that, once successful, de-risk and catalyze follow-on funding for the larger, confirmatory trials, building the clinical evidence required for regulatory approval or to support off-label use by patients everywhere.

GlaxoSmithKline (GSK)
GSK is a global biopharma company with a purpose to unite science, technology, and talent to get ahead of disease together. Global Health is one of the areas of responsible business that matter most to us: our ambition is to reduce health inequalities by changing the trajectory of high burden infectious diseases that disproportionately affect underserved people in lower-income countries. We deliver on our ambition and commitment to global health through a dedicated, non-commercial group with a ring-fenced budget and more than 200 global health experts, where success is measured by health impact not financial return.
University College London (UCL)
University College London (UCL) is at the forefront of addressing internationally important questions in infectious diseases, and delivering swifter and more effective translation of scientific research into patient benefits. It hosts one of the MRC’s five regional Hubs for Trials Methodology Research in the UK. In addition to participation in many international consortia, UCL has a long track record on translational research. UCL Translational Research Office (TRO) is an integral part of UCL’s biomedical and clinical research powerhouse, supporting researchers in realising their translational ambition and bridging the gap with industry to help establish collaborations that drive the pipeline of therapeutic, device and diagnostic innovations. The Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics Group works in close collaboration with the TRO to optimise evidence generation and identify approaches for accurate prediction of treatment response and personalisation of interventions in clinical practice.
